I made a very late (2 days ago) decision to ride to IZ this year.
I was a bit worried about finding a room, but today, I got it!  I also got registered for IZ.
I am sooooo jazzed to be doing this ride and for having the opportunity to ride with friends (at least part way) and to see the great Valk family members that I have come to know since 1998.
This will be my 5th InZane; 1xPaducah, 2xFrisco, and now 2xBellaire!
I'm getting a new front tire and new coolant on Monday and will be packing and go KSU next Wednesday morning.
Did I mention that I was sooooo jazzed????
I live and ride in some of the best mountain riding in the U.S., but it is always a treat to ride in new territory.  My most favorite IZ was Paducah in 2004.  I rode to and from Reno all alone and almost totally on 2 lane roads.  It was awesome...even though I got rained on EVERY DAY (some days only for 5 minutes) for the entire trip.  I was hooked from that time forward.
I grew up in Indiana, so following IZ, there will be an obligatory visit with family and longtime pals in Indiana before heading back "out west".
And, oh yeah, did I mention that I am sooooo jazzed?   Smiley

Don't worry too much about getting a room.  Due to the timing of release requirements in combination with some cancellations, the VRCC will be picking up the tab for several room nights unless we get them filled between now and 27 July.

We still have a few rooms.

Cool beans Jim, looking forward to seeing you again

Are you an organ, tissue and eye donor for your state? Did you know one person can save or enhance the lives of up to 75 people. The # of people waiting for organs in the US would overflow the University of Michigan football stadium. It's the biggest in the country. Will seat over 109,000.

Got a room for all nights at Bellaire Inn, $79+tax/night.
Can't wait to see you!
Jan is "thinking" about flying in and spending a night or two with us......aw Hell it is cocktail hour here and when tomorrow arrives and she sees the price of flying, things may change.   2funny
