What has happen to reasonable Bike shipping ?? I think $450 - $600 to ship a 500# bike 300 miles is too high for my pocket. I guess I`m living in the past, but I always do.  Embarrassed I know just 300 miles ? Go ride it back. I`m lazy I guess and with todays gas prices it still would not be cheap to drive and return a car and a bike.  Sad I know, it`s only money but my SS may not make it in Aug.  tickedoff

Rent a car, one way...  May be $$ but should be less than shipping.

That is a good ideal, except I don`t know if I could drop off a car in the Boones of Tn.  Roll Eyes I`m kidding, I think.  Wink

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

You can rent a truck and go out and pick it up cheaper. Up here I can rent a 1/2 ton for $150 for the weekend.

Sold a Shadow in 07; buyer paid $500 to ship it over 1100 miles.
Times be a changin; I'm sure the gas cost isn't helping.

You might ask around and borrow a trailer, or do what I did when I bought my Valk in 99-I got a plane ticket there for $300 and rode it 800 miles back.

Just checked with GH, $76.00 one way. Can`t buy gas for that round trip. 8:05 arrive 2:45, not too bad. Gives 5-6 hours day light for trip home. Damn, I guess I need to buy bike.  Roll Eyes
