Hangin' out here beats a tree on the head any day!

Titus, AL

« on: July 14, 2011, 07:09:18 AM »

It was another 3-4 hours ....in the emergency room yesterday. They had her on an IV with MANY different drugs in her...trying to get her blood pressure down and itching under control. I tried to stay out of the way and not ask questions. i saw them inject several different things into the IV....and I know they gave her a couple of liquid medications in a cup for her Blood Pressure...and some sort of pill too. they kept constantly checking her BP. Finally, they got her blood pressure down to a reasonable level and released her soon after. I picked up SIX drugs for her yesterday. I recognized some of them.....Loratab for pain, Zanax for her anxiety, prednisone steroid pack for the swelling, some other thing for itching that starts with an "a", a cortisone cream, and something else. She's all drugged up at home today. She finally slept some last night (no sleep the first night). I'm HOPING she has rounded a corner...as far as out of the woods....but miserable.....but PERHAPS a little bit better.

BIG rain/storm at our house yesterday right after I got her home....phone line struck by lightning. But it filled two ponds.........

If you want to contact her, i'd text her cell phone....334-315-9752. She may not answer immediately obviously (i HOPE she's sleeping some)....but eventually i would think she'd answer.

Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes   cooldude

Tim,

Thank you for the update. I missed this post and just posted on the old thread asking about her.

Thank goodness she's home and doing okay. Sounds like she feels like crap; but also sounds like she's going to be okay.

Give her our best.

Blessings,
Carolyn

Are you an organ, tissue and eye donor for your state? Did you know one person can save or enhance the lives of up to 75 people. The # of people waiting for organs in the US would overflow the University of Michigan football stadium. It's the biggest in the country. Will seat over 109,000.

Glad to hear she is doing better.  It will still take time and she will be miserable for a good while, but sounds like she is on the way to recovery.

Thanks for keeping us informed.

So have you attacked the hive? Don't want to poison the hay. maybe a pressure washer will work.

Glad she is doing better.

We also had a large nest in our hay in Missouri last year. I found it late summer, and stayed clear of the area until winter. I pulled the bales down in the dead of winter, and behold a huge nest. It had been vacated due to the cold. Had I not seen them going into the nest, I could of suffered the same fate.

Damn Yellow Jackets.

They are mean and don't stop stinging yah till you get away from them.

She did the right thing jumping in that pool.

Probably saved her life.

SHe is lucky to have all those people around to take care of her.

Here's to recovery.

she slept ALL day yesterday....with all those drugs. Woke up for a few hours last night. then slept all thru the night. Woke up for an hour or so this morning. Then more drugs and back to sleep. Sleep is good for her now. She's very incoherent with all the drugs.

As for the hive and the hay...after hitting the nest with multiple cans of wasp/bee spray...we burned the bales around the nest. Didn't want to take a chance with contaminated hay.

the concern as far as the hay goes.....now....is ARE THERE ANY MORE NESTS....in the MANY bales of hay out in the barn?

I think Sherry has rounded the corner. I think she'll get a little better now each and every day....slowly recovering. But i think she's "out of the woods" now.......... cooldude
