I had the privilege today of driving my pop to Altorfer Cat dealership in Peoria IL to deliver Cat's 2012 On-Highway Truck to Fabick Cat in Fenton MO. Caterpillar discontinued putting diesel motors in Peterbilts, Kenworths and other trucks in 2009. As of now, there are only 25 in the U.S. for display purposes only for customers. I thought some on the truck drivers on the board might enjoy.

Yes, Its made in Texas, Sort of a mixture of CAT and International. CAT designed there own automatic transmission for it. The motor is actually by MAN motors, owned my CAT. I believe International helped with the rest. The truck is offered for Dump,Cement, and over the road truck with day cab only. No sleepers are on them.
