I'm not by any means a pro of this forum.  I know this has been discussed in depth several times, as I can only find the posts that state this. I can't seem to find the original post though...

I know people have installed the goldwing levers and I even felt a set on another valk.  What year goldwing will fit on my '01 standard?  So far I know they will fit, but you have to grind off a tab on one of the levers???? What is this unwanted tab and which lever is it on?

I've pulled the clutch lever off to check the plunger and the brass bushing so I know I can change that one out.  Is the brake lever about the same?

Any help is appreciated as always. Maybe in another 5-50 years I can begin to answer some questions, instead of asking.

Search is your friend go up this page near the top. Find " Old Tech Archive" and click. A search box will open. I typed in  " Goldwing Levers ".  I let it search the entire date range and got a ton of hits that will appear on the left side of the page.

Here you go.  The adjustable levers for 1800 Wing can be had from Kuryakyn or BBP.

I had the chrome wide blade non adjustable Gold Wing 1800 (any year) levers.  just a small cut on the clutch lever, hold a Valk one up side by side it will be obvious.  They worked great.

ChrisJ and I compared our levers once.  His non adjustable to my adjustable levers.  His levers were as close to the grips as my adjustables set on the closest setting.

Kyle, That's what I'm using, feel free to try them anytime. I liked them allot when I put them on, bigger wider, smoother easy on the fingers. (chrome Grin)
I thought that was a great improvement when I installed them. I forgot they were even there, until I read your post. I believe it's money well spent  cooldude
I may try to ride up with you next weekend, Dr.'s orders permitting  Undecided

Grind?  Hacksaw and a file to smooth it out after were just as well.

I have the same adjustable levers. Once installed, I found that I had to push the brake lever with a finger or the brake lights stayed on all the time. BigBuck suggested that I grind off a bit from the bottom of the boss, the big part with the bushing throught it. It looks like a ring molded into the boss. I ground that off and it works perfectly now.
