Kinda funny how time changes things. Doesn’t seem like that many years ago I was hanging with my red-eyed buds in the early 70’s. Sometimes at my folks house, sometimes at theirs listening to Duane Allman and Dickie Betts tearing it up as we took turns flipping albums.

Then, I wouldn’t have believed that today, I’d be a grey haired old fart mowing grass while listening to Duane and Dickie tearing it up through noise canceling earbuds and an MP3 player with 2200 tunes on it that fits in my pocket. And, even while mowing, no pops and hisses no matter how many times you listen to it.

The grey haired old fart part sucks but the tunes are even better now.

For the last 3 years, the only songs on my mp3 player were Blue Sky and Melissa.  Now it even has all of Brothers and Sisters on it!  Go ABB!   Wink

going to see Allman in NYC on the 27th with Bonnie and my daughter

Alana got us the tickets   It will be my first time seeing the band and we will be in the front with the VIP's
from Merk

Merk is sponsoring the concert which is a special benefit concert launching Tune In to Hep C, together with Merck and the American Liver Foundation.  she works for a company that does medical public relations and Merk is one of her clients

The rumor is there will be some big names taking the stage but she wont tell me who will be performing.
