Good idea Wanderer.

Let's start adding ride ideas to this thread.

Matt brought up an E. TX ride, where ya thinking about going Matt?

Mark, let's start discussing which of your many suggestions we want to start with and put it on the calendar.

I've got a couple of ideas I need to pre-ride before I make suggestions.

I'd like to do a "scout ride" to Possum Kingdom to see if there is a reasonably priced motel we might descend upon sometime for an over-nighter.

Meers Store sometime after it cools down some. I usually take my camping gear and camp overnight while I am that far from home (212 miles) and that close to Mother Nature. Most will probably just make a 400+ mile burger run out of the ride.  ~Jeff

For August, due to the heat, I'm recommending we do the midnight run to Durant and Chocktaw Casino for pizza and quarter slots.  August 13th is the target.

Disco was talkin' about an overnight stay and Skycamp has a two night minimum unless you can convince those good people to wave the minimum stay.

That being said they have cabins that sleep 8+ people and boat rentals so maybe this could become a weekend trip instead of an overnighter.  Maybe Wanderer will bring his boat out....

Sounds kinda fun.  We do have a trailer and some camping gear.  Might even be able to bring some wood in there too.  Long as its cooler, could be real fun.

No boat, but carry major wood with me everywhere I go, even in the hottest environs makes for good fun! Just couldn't let that one go, Randy. ~Jeff

we could go to Lake Murray in OK< get there early, bring swim and picnic gear( my daughter can drive our truck) everybody pitch in a little for gas, we could go for the day, it's a great lake maybe we could find TIGGER in marietta! If we have an interest, we can lead, just ride 1/4 mile behind us or wear earplugs!  crazy2 have to know in advance though, so Redneck can get day off.

Stew Cookoff in Clarksville, Texas September 10.

Usually $4 gets you into the fairgrounds, they give you a bowl, and you get to sample any/all the stew you want to.

Yum!
