as you might expect...i've been to a few of these 100 places...as my expanding waistline can attest to!!!!
in no particular order, i have been to from the list:
- Wetumpka -Our Place Cafe...practically in our back yard
- Foley - Lamberts...home of the thrown rolls!
- Birmingham - Milo Burgers (thanks to BamaJack)....and Jim and Nicks BBQ
- Selma - Major Grumbles
- Prattville - The Guest House
- Pine Level - Red's Little Schoolhouse
- Clanton - Peach Park...home of our monthly state Valkyrie ride/destination (for ice crema)
- Gadsden - Top of the River....been decades ago when i lived in Anniston in the late 70s
- Montgomery - Lek's Thai....Chris's Hot dogs (downtown and famous)...Sinclairs
- Millbrook - Smokehouse BBQ.....one of the few BBQ joints i liked, but they burned down a few years ago!
- Tallassee - Hotel Talisi......famous for their buffet....but they too went out of business last year...after being open since 1928
and of course, numerous other fine vittle establishments for some good grub...on a WEEKLY basis!!!
