Our very first day on the Valk up on the BRP!

Lynchburg, Virginia

« on: July 16, 2011, 08:23:42 PM »

Hi All,
As many of you know, our son Paul had to have a pace maker put in about 2 years ago, was married last year and is now in medical school down in St. Lucia. Well we just found out that his Appendix gave out and he is going in for surgery at 11:30pm tonight,(Saturday July 16 2011).  Cry
His Dr. is one of his professors from the school and Paul says is really good.
It is killing us to be so far away and not be with him!
Anyway, please say a quick prayer for him one more time!
Thanks,
Tom and Joanne Tompkins,
Lynchburg, VA

Sounds like he is in good hands, however, thoughts and prayers headed his way from Iowa.

Prayers for a quick recovery!  Its normally done on an "outpatient basis" so it should be a "piece of cake" surgery...here's hoping thats the way it is with a great outcome!

Update:  Paul is doing OK. I haven't talked to him, but Joanne has. I guess he isn't getting to much for the pain, but I guess all is well.
Thank you for all the well wishes!
