Mounting Dodge truck horns in I/S pods?

Anybody got any pic's or info on the hardware used to do this?
What's the best way to position them to get them to fit?
Hope to get them installed this week & won't have a lot of time for trial & error. (read dirty little 4 letter word WORK, hahaha!)

I use Advance Auto Parts products, Hi Tone, Lo Tone, horns, with a relay getting it's power from the battery.

I mean straight from the battery.

It should be getting it's signal to the relay from the horn button, via the stock wires, keep it simple.

Ground is your choice, again keep it simple, don't forget to fuse the setup from the battery, or you may get a fire you won't forget.

Whole thing should cost no more than 50 bucks.

If you are insistant on using Dodge Truck horns, then you should get by for maybe 5 for the relay and some tape, wire and connectors.

Mine sounds as loud as most peoples really high priced horns and I can get replacement parts seven days a week.

If Boss OK's me not working Over Time,, Yes.

Getting them in the pods is fruitless I believe.

For appearances sake a lot of folks simply put them underneath, the bike,  back near the swingarm void area.

I installed the same setup as BigAl on my Interstate except I put the horns in the fairing. Works great and cost me somewhere around $35.

I can understand the need for changing horns. I'm not big on using a horn. Better to plan and anticipate and take avoidance before you need the horn. That said, after the last several bikes being either a Harley or the Vic now, hearing the "tootle horn melodiously" sound of the Honda horn nearly cracked me up. Biggest bike on the road ( almost ) and a squeek squeek horn.

I've got your standard low tone Fiaam horn in the right pod.  Now this is on my Std that I added pods to.  I just took off the stock horn and replaced it with the Fiaam.   I think the horn came with 2 steel straps for mounting.  The horn shoots out the pod opening.  

I'm not sure if the same mounting bolt exists on an I/S, and I can't find on HDL's fiche the horn on a Std to get a look at it.  

How about using a "P" clamp on the area of the crash bar that is hidden by the pod as a mounting point?

P clamp, now why didn't I think of that. That's how we ran my trailer wiring, & my Brother's got a whole box of them in 27 diff sizes! Thanks for the pics Steve K, and thanks to everyone else for the info and ideas, they might just end up under the fairing. Peace, Whiskey.
