My wife demands a new seat!  cooldude We had a Corbin Dual Tour on the old ACE with a tall backrest for her and a regular one for me...it was great.

The Ultimate seats look amazing and a full setup (driver/passenger/1-2 backrests) comes out about $200 cheaper than Corbin.  I have never been a fan of the Mustang/Saddleman styling, so they are out.  Any other options?

Next question: does anybody here live in Northwest WI or Northeast Minnesota that might want to go for a ride one afternoon and let me check out their Ultimate or Corbin seat?  Before any body lights me up, I just want to take a seat on one...NOT RIDE YOUR MOTORCYCLE!  tickedoff

Beer/burger on me for you trouble.

Take a look at the Russell Day Longs.

Thanks for the heads up...profile is updated.  I'm in Spooner, WI, halfway between Eau Claire and Superior/Duluth.

Jack, I may be in Stevens Point this Tuesday (26th).  If so, I might be able to make it the rest of the way to two rivers that evening.

NITRO, what do you have on the interstate?  I can't imagine the fit would be that much different from Interstate to Standard.

I have the OEM seat with gel inserts. I use a sheepskin cover over that and made it 1,000 miles to Maggie Valley Monday with no discomfort from the seat. This would probably be the cheapest route to go and you're welcome to sit on it whenever I get back. We should meet up for a ride sometime anyway!

Jack, I'll shoot you a message on here this weekend if I'll be over that way.

Nitro, definately...no point having Valks that close and not going for a ride at some point.

I purchased a used Mustang solo seat from eBay... the price was right and it looks good to me.

I often hear that the 2000 and up seats (no "HONDA" script) are more comfortable than the earlier seats. I do not know this for a fact...

My 2000 standard came w/two sets (two fronts / two rears). One with and one without "gel inserts." They're all like new... and taking precious storage space...

Not hijacking this thread... so, If you have any questions please email me directly. Paxton.gomez@gmail.com.

KR, that would be amazing...since we live 6 miles north of Shell Lake.  If he's leery about some random dude sitting on his bike, we're locals and my wife teaches at the school and I teach just north of there.  People are weird about that sometimes up here, I've had guys not even talk to me about the possibility of a hookup until I specifically tell them I'm local.

NITRO, let me know.  I've been having a hard time finding people to ride with up here since we moved from EC a few years ago, so I'd love to meet up with you guys.  Most of the bikes that come through here are the weekend Harley tourists.

Hi, we live in Mauston, WI we have a ultimate big boy seat setup with backrest.  I'm 6'7 350 lbs and not comfortable on my seat.  After reading alot of posts they say I need a king boy so I would be interested in selling or trading my big boy for a king boy.  Fits 99-01 interstates.  You're welcome to try my setup.  Thanks

Jack, don't worry about Tuesday.  I'm not sure what my schedule is going to look like and there are quite a few Valks over on this half of the state with aftermarket saddles.  Thanks for the offer, though.

Millard, I saw you going to work two or three days ago about 4:10 pm under the Hwy 90 bridge. I still dont have my Tom Simmons seat yet. He called Dian yesterday on the house phone and said that my sister and her new trike had him distractred. (she wants a new seat) Cinda lives in Oregon and has a Gold Wing trike w/matching trailer. Anyway I should be getting my 'lovely' tomorrow or so and I need a ride, Bad. We missed a ride to 'Mamaw's Fried Pies in Whitehouse Texas last Saturday with the VTX Group and my Son. Her Vulcan did not want to cooperate and when it did we bottomed out the suspension. ugh... 25 psi on each side and we can do two up all day long.

I just bought a ultimate king seat setup, I like it very much.
I live in N Minneapolis and commute a measly 5 miles to SE Minneapolis. If you want to connect up you can try out the seat.
