Now there's a lucky guy!

Unfortunately, a very similar thing happenednon I-26 here is Columbia, SC a while back one night. The rider passed a SC State Trooper parked on the side of the road running radar and was clocked at 98 mph. The trooper pulled away to go after the bike but never got close. Only a short distance from there the bike rear ended a Subaru wagon and the rider went through the rear window and died instantly.

For the first several minutes it was chaos while everyone was trying to locate the rider and couldn't find him anywhere. They rolled a bunch of emergency units and searched all over the medians and the area around the off ramp. Of course they finally found him.

I was returning from a short road trip on the Valk and this happened within one to two minutes just ahead of me and I got caught up the the jam where everything had stopped. I spoke with one of the responders while waiting who filled me on on the details.

Believe me, it was a really bad feeling being on the bike and seeing the crashed bike laying in the road.

A truth boys and girls. Don't really matter what we be on or in-diasaster is a heartbeat away. You can be super careful or a total a-hole-it's a heartbeat away. Mama and i left on the valk this a-m and not a mile and a quarter from la-casa a brain dead person(tryin really hard to stay nice here) pulled out right in front of us(had the high beams up on the valk) and THEN would not even get up to the speed limit. tickedoff crazy2 Thank god i replaced all the brake pads on the valk. angel And yes-i was on the front brakes to keep from T boning the brain dead excuse for a person. uglystupid2 Do i want to give up my valk?? Not only no but h-ll no. cooldude Keep alert-stay safe-be aware what's around you. That being said-some idiot WILL blow a stop sign and take out a brother or a sister or both of em. Yes it is beyond sad-but it will happen again-a lot sooner than any of us could imagine. RIDE SAFE. There be a lot of ya'll i haven't met yet-but i love all of ya like brothers and sisters. BE SAFE.
