I need some explanation on what the bottom right button on the IS handlebar controller does; the one labeled SPKR/HS -- CB/Audio.  when i only had my intercom,  used this to toggle between the sound coming out  the speakers versus in my headset, so i get that.   now that i have a CB installed, it's not clear to me the dual meaning of the switch...i've been playing around with it but can't get enough reproducible results to understand the pattern or operation between the four functions (speaker, headset,CB, Audio).

can someone explain to be SPECIFICALLY what this switch does and how to use it.

thanks

I think the Interstate owners manual explains everything about that set of buttons and switches.

If no one can get you an answer I'll go look to dig out that manual and see if I can find the answer for you.

Just don't know at this time where that manual is!

Going by memory and not looking at my interstate right now. That switch toggles from Stereo audio to headset or speakers and toggles  cb to hear thru headset or speakers.

yes, i have read the manual...and it's not clear...just says it toggles between headset and speakers...but the button is also labeled CB/Audio....so does this mean i have four states the systems can be in:  (1) audio&CB out speakers.  (2) CB in headset and stereo audio out speakers.  (3) CB out speakers and Audio in headsets.  (4) both in head set ?

if so...wasn't clear to me the sequence and button pushes to configure this.  or do i have this wrong?

those of you with CBs...can you enlighten me here?  thanks

Grin Grin Grin well I went down to the garage for you with my cane Grin Grin Grin

You are correct with the above post by toggling that bottom right hand switch you control what unit or both  that will play in headset or thru speakers. The left side push button scolls thru each unit to be on or off or on at same time.

i prefer to ride with my xm thru the speakers and cb unit thru the headsets. I'm not comfortable with everything in headsets as I want to be aware of noises around me ( car, truck, kids, horns, etc.)

Hope this helps.

Both. UP toggles CB to headset or speakers & DOWN toggles the audio/stereo.

The manual isn't terribly clear on this, but infers thet up toggles the audio from speakers to headset and back; down does the same for the CB. I don't have a CB so down does nothing for me, but up does toggle the radio.

If you don't have the IS manual, I have a PDF of the radio controls from the manual. Leave me a message and I can get that to you.

ok, got it.  you can indeed have four states:
  (1) audio&CB out speakers.  (2) CB in headset and stereo audio out speakers.  (3) CB out speakers and Audio in headsets.  (4) both in head set ?

very cool!  thanks

Correct.  The intercom always goes through the headsest, though.  Also concur on the icon showing up on the LCD panel.
Put more simply, CB can be controlled independantly of the radio/aux.
