Will a Ultimate Lowrider from a Interstate fit on a Standard?  Looking at buying a used one that has been test fitted on a Tourer for size and seems to fit just fine. Anyone else done this?
If so any pros or cons? Thanks in advance for the reply.

the only issue I've heard is there may be a bit of a gap between the tank and the seat.   The IS  tank is larger/longer than the Tourer/Std tank, so the IS seat is a little shorter on the nose.  Other than that, you're good to go I think   coolsmiley

You know the old saying, a picture is worth a thousand words.  Well, here's two thousand words.

The interstate tank is the same length as the standard and tourer, the only difference is that it is higher at the tail end.

If you look at the picture above, the one with the red band around the bottom, the interstate tank would be higher in that area by a couple of inches so they make  the front of the seat more flexible to ride up on the tank.

I have a factory seat on my bike ( a standard ) with an interstate tank, and it fits just fine.

Looks nice.  What does the rear end of Marty have to say?  (1000 words not needed)

How bout my animated one?    What do you want to know?

THANK YOU MARTY for the pic of the seat. Don't quite have a 1000 words but it looks good to me. And thanks to Jim C for the explanation also makes total sense. Looking forward to a new seat.
