Since Chet /Rattlebars has retired and no longer makes a Peg Relocation kit, I made a knockoff from ¼ x2” 4140 bar stock. It drops the pegs an 1 1/4”. However, can anyone give me a photo or directions that show me how I need to move the shifter?  Smiley

are you trying to move the shifter... where.  you can only pivot it around the  shaft, you can't really make it longer or shorter without finding a longer or shorter shifter.  The peg relocation moves the peg down and can move it forward varying amounts.  Give you more toe room under the shifter.

Thank you for your reply. I understand about rotating the shifter.  That was actually my question.  I thought there were some instructions about rotating the shifter in relationship to the punch mark on the shaft.  If I recall correctly, Chet had a photo that showed the slot in relationship to the punch mark. I am just looking for a starting point for moving rather than a move it, use it, move it set- up. (Trial and error) Smiley

Just an update. I rotated the shifter to the right, 2 notches. took a 164 mile ride. With the peg being an 1 1/4" lower, 1 1/4" forward and me having a size 12 Boot, the ride was very comfortable.
Thanks again.
God bless,

If you look at the gearshift arm, you will notice a split at the top. It lines up with a punch mark on the spindle. I removed the bolt that holds the gearshift arm onto the spindle and slid the gearshift arm off the spindle. I then slid it back on to the spindle aligning the split two notches to the right of the punch mark, installed the bolt and tightened to secure the gearshift arm to the spindle. This lowered the gearshift arm and peg enough to make it comfortable for me. If you send me an email, I would be glad to reply with a photo as I do not know how to post pictures on this site. I tried, it just didn't work.

There is 2...Two places to adjust the shift lever to get it where you need it.  coolsmiley

email sent

Trynt,

Would you please send me an email so that I could possibly in the future post a photo if needed.

I am happy to see that someone is going to start making the peg relocation kit.  It works and improves the ride.

God bless,
Bob
