Have you ever seen your true love run off with another man ? Today my Phat girl ran away with another man.  I saw her drive down my driveway with all her belongings in a trailer going away. After all I've done for her over the years, buying her jewelry and all types of bling to dress her up. So now I was wondering if I over did it ? Did I go too far ? Did I dress her up like a street tart ?

Maybe I just got to old for her, and my medical infirmities has slowed me down so she ranoff with a younger man.  He promises to love her and stroke her and treat her with love and consideration. I'm wondering if his wife knows about the love affair going on right under her nose. I think this has gone on before, because he used to go down stairs for hours stroking and playing around with other Phat girls.

Now there is this emptyness in my heart and this gapeing hole in my garage with the Phat girls older sister morning her loss also. I wonder if that was the problem keeping her in a warm comfortable enviroment but downstairs in the garage or perhaps jealousy of her older sister(after all she got all the long trips while the phat girl was for local jaunts around town). Maybe she needed the touch of a younger mans hand, firm on the throttle instead of a old mans shakey grip. Tears are filling my eyes so much that I can hardly tell you the story of my great loss. I know in my heart that I will always love her and miss her.

Now all that I have is some photo's and fond memories,  Her new love promises to send photographs of their travels together, but I'm wondering if that will be to traumatic to endure?Time will tell........I'll keep you posted.

Great Post! Wink

I have a feeling that my Phat Girl will be making a similar journey due to my own medical issues. Hopefully, I can put it off for awhile.

While the loss of a phat girl is very traumatic, remember you still have the memories and your fellow brothers in the vrcc to comfort you. Ride her older sister in tribute to her.

These weigh a whole lot less, don't cost very much, and are supposed to be a
real rider's machine... they say they're great in the twisties and that you
can ride all day on the interstate at 80 on them...

Mountainman-i'm thinking sooner or later we all have to face our loss of skills and the biggy-our youth. I still enjoy riding but i know that one of these days either i won't get a leg over or be able to get the leg off the bike. Your post WILL put a lot of folks thinking about this very subject. Of all the things i don't know there is this i do know-my phat ghurl will still be very capable-way long after i ain't. So will yours man-be very capable. Hope you can take a little solace from this and RIDE SAFE just as long as you can. Peace bro.

It's not really the same thing but you could always get one of those Voyageur trike converters.  Keeps you on the bike longer.  It's the way I will go when I have trouble riding in future years.

That picture is a Versys, not a KLR... I don't really know personally how to compare them, just that I think the red
Versys is super cool looking, and has a reputation of being a real rider's bike. The first ones I ever saw was a month
or so ago, and the guys riding them were having a real good time. I've spent some time hanging out on the versys
forum, and those guys do seem like real riders... I can say the Versys is more street oriented than a KLR... I think
the Versys has a 650 Ninja-derived motor that is supposed to keep it from being disappointing when you twist the
throttle...here's the advriders comparing the KLR and the Versys...

No bad. I pretty much think there's two kinds of bikes: Valkyries and not-Valkyries  cooldude I didn't go looking
for the Versys, it kind of just stuck with me after seeing it...

I just came up from the garage for I sat there for a long time looking at where my phat girl use to live, ...... crying tons of tears.  I just can not get over she is gone, gone, gone.

Did I tell you how when I saw her leaving me I was so upset that I chased her in my car through the back roads of Pennsylvania and I cought up to her for a short time in Quakertown, Pa. but she tookoff again with her new lover , up US-309 and I lost sight of her as she creasted the hill on I-78 going towards Allentown, Pa.

I got a phone call from someone who saw her going down I-81 twards Tennessee, so if you see her let me know how she is doing.  I know you will understand how I feal for I see you post photo's of your lovely phat lady's and I enjoy seeing them, however you must understand how much in love I was with her black and yellow skin glowing in the sunlight, and her chrome all shiney and all. And did I tell you about her matching trailer ?

I will not sell MGM or the Chevy Trike.

My youngest 2 kids have given me instructions that they want them after I expire.
Sounds like a winner to me.........

The daughter is kind of leaning towards the Valk, and the son I know for sure wants the Chevy Trike.    They both will go to good homes.

I forgot about that song, ..... it was just what I needed to cry in my beer,  ..... if I had any !

I listened to it many times looking at the spot next to her older sister where she use to park  her
fat little rear, ........ now emty as my heart.  I saw a post from her new lover and he said that he
treated her like she has never been treated before ????  And she likes it, ???

What could he mean, ? I hope he treats her kindly not mistreating her, I would ride her easy and was very carefull with her. It tare's me up thinking that he might be riding her hard and long, making her pant and sweat in all that heat down south.  I might be getting too old but I never pushed her when it got this hot, keeping her in airconditioned comfort till the weather was right.

And would it be considered ' stalking ' , if I went down to Knoxville to catch a glimse of her as she rides the local roads ?  ...... Some people just can not let go.

What do you think ????

mountainman, show us a pic so we'll know her when we see her.  If you have a name of the guy that took her away, we can see if any of us around knoxville know him.  We try to keep up with the valks in our area.

You'll just have to love the one you still have that much more!

razor,

I do not know how to post a photo on this board. Others have told me how and I have tryed and I gave up in frustration. The only thing I can tell you is that someone else helped me get that photo
of my beloved bumble bee under my ' mountainman logo ', ....  The one she ran away with said he was going to post photo's when he tells of his side of the story when he gets the chance.  So if you look you will see that 'they' ( the one she ran away with ) spent the night in Johnson City last night and 'they' are going to ride the ' BRP ', today as they sneek home.

Now the question thats running through my mind is, .... do I call his wife and tell of the love affair thats going on or do I let his wife figure it out for herself, .... I do not want to cause problems in someone elses marrage.

I kinda get the feeling his wife already knows. What burns me is they stayed in Johnson City
and I didn't get to confront them face to face! I can see the city limits from my front door!!
Next time they roll thru here I wanna know about it!!

The word on the street is that they are home and the wife knows, and is O.K. with it, ....... possable camping trips in the future can now be made, after this heat goes away in the fall.  And my phat girl, .... she was put to sleep in her new home down stairs with a belly full of gass, which tells me though I will miss her she will be well taken care of.  To me that is priority one to keep rust out of the belly of the beast.

It is just disheartining to see her older sister sit there all alone without company. And she is turning green, a Pearl Sierra Green if I'm not mistaken, could she be jealous of what her younger sister is up to ?  She has ridden the whole way up the Blue Ridge Parkway, more than once and traveled from Maine to Florida and out to New Mexico, more than once so why the green face ?  It might be that yesterday was a very good day for a ride and she sat there and never turned over.  She might have wished to be with them on that ride.  Cry  Oh well time will tell.

Anvil, your post reminds me of a time in '59 when stationed at Pease AFB in Porstmouth, NH. A buddy of mine owned a Vincent Black Shadow and knew only two positions of the throttle; off and wide open. He was on his way back to the base one night after a bunch of us had been working with another guy on his Henry J with a big Olds in it. Trying to get it ready for the drags up in Sanford the following weekend. Anyway, the crazy sucker was ripping through town and got chased by the local constabulary....he was doing a good job of losing them I understand, until he took a wrong turn. Seems it was a dead end street, one block before he meant to turn, and there was a brick retaining wall at the end. Fortunately it was a short run of less than 100' from the corner to the wall so wasn't going flat out. The bike ended up looking like it had two back wheels, side by side. He hit it with his feet outstretched forward, resulting in two broken ankles, but it somersaulted him over the wall and into a huge thicket which broke his fall. The cops decided not to press charges, figured he was suffering enough I guess. He also is in his mid-70's now so you know he's reminded of his youthful antics every time the weather changes.

The bike actually looked kinda funny, both wheels almost side by side, but the handlebars were untouched. Imagine a two-wheeled uni-cycle with handlebars and the engine sitting up right behind the bars. The seat would have been a bit uncomfortable though, part of the backbone of the frame came up through it.
