Dictatorship?

Now, what bugs me is not so much the President  "kidding " about bypassing congress, (at least I hope he's kidding, things aren't so clear anymore) but what really gets me is the crowd. Do they realize they are applauding for a dictatorship? And its a Hispanic civil rights group at that. 


The President: Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own. (Applause.) And believe me, right now dealing with Congress --

AUDIENCE: Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can!

THE PRESIDENT: Believe me -- believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. (Laughter.) I promise you. Not just on immigration reform. (Laughter.) But that's not how -- that's not how our system works.

AUDIENCE MEMBER: Change it!

THE PRESIDENT: That's not how our democracy functions. That's not how our Constitution is written.

Hes already shown he doesnt give a care what congress thinks.  He obviously doesnt believe the Constitution is relevant......he needs to go!

Now i KNOW what i'm saying ain't right or correct or christian. But to this second right here and beyond-i'm still amazed he made it thru the entire campaign-election process-and the face to face everywhere he went and is still-ALIVE. That is to me rather surprising. I dug the flame suit out of the garage. RIDE SAFE.

We are on the brink with this budget debacle.

He will consider it.

If he does, all H E L L will break loose.

Like nothing we have ever seen.

I am a little anxious about the prospect of a total callapse and him declaring martial law.

At best he will go down as the president that let America default on it's obligations for the first time in history.

I in my heart think this is a plan that is of his own making,, but he fell for the Repubs trap ,,hook line and sinker.

With the help from Bush (Jr.), Obama has what he needs to be a dictator.  Bush enacted Executive order 51 back in May 2007.  This essentially gave any president the authority to be a dictator.  Do these people not learn from history or are they just plain stupid.  We got enough room up here in Canada for you guys but some may have a problem with the cold.

EO 51 seems to be talking about Iraq but then again I may have missed it amongst all that Legalese



Here is Executive order 51:

Section 1. (a) Except to the extent provided in section 203(b)(1), (3), and (4) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)(1), (3), and (4)), or in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted prior to the date of this order, all property and interests in property of the following persons, that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of United States persons, are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in: any person determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense,

(i) to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of:

(A) threatening the peace or stability of Iraq or the Government of Iraq; or

(B) undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people;

(ii) to have materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, logistical, or technical support for, or goods or services in support of, such an act or acts of violence or any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order; or

(iii) to be owned or controlled by, or to have acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order.

(b) The prohibitions in subsection (a) of this section include, but are not limited to, (i) the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order, and (ii) the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services from any such person.

Sec. 2. (a) Any transaction by a United States person or within the United States that evades or avoids, has the purpose of evading or avoiding, or attempts to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.

(b) Any conspiracy formed to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.

You know how it is with legalese, you think what you are reading says one thing but it really means something else.  I really think that this order was put in because Bush wanted to invade Iran at the time but he was thwarted when Iran gave back the British soldiers and he was not able to instigate something with Iran before he left.
