I look at my 98 tourer, jade green and black, and think thats a classic.Like a Norton commando, someday the valkyrie will be a classic. No mustang aftermarket seat,no 6 over 6 exhausts like mine has,but totally bone stock i think the valkyrie is a classic now but someday in the future it will be a collectible classic.I am glad they are so cheap now.I had a 1980 gs 1000 suzuki.Much better than the 903 71 kawasaki, but the kaw is a classic and my suzuki was and is not.I wonder what makes the difference.Quite possibly the rune will be the only classic valkyrie.Just thinking out loud.It will be 90 degrees when i get off at 7 am.I'm going to go ride my classic before it gets too hot.If you are riding in denton and you see a grey haired guy on the green and black valk, that's me.See ya on the road.

Wow what a cool link.I see a trend in motorcycling evolving.more power, more smoothness,go multicylinder in any number of configurations.parallel, boxer, inline, all the makes except harley and victory are headed that way.I once owned 2 goldwings and a harley ultra classic. The 6 cylinder engines or the v 4's i had in my 2 old ventures were much more suited to touring. And now you take one of those inline 4's and get 160 hp out of it in a bike the size of a sportster.I see this trend inviting me,the old boomer wanting smooth and powerful, not potato potato low horsepower.I loved my harleys but no comparison in power and smoothness to my big bike.I think the video and the absolute low numbers of valkyries made, and the trend toward something beside aircooled vtwins by 4 major manufacturers may in a decade or so either make our bikes much more valuable,or maybe even a comeback ala 1800 valkyrie.Time will tell.To me I own a cross between a 57 chevy and a lamborghini for $6000.00.
