i used to have a gun like that, i think it was a 32 caliber and the screw on the side of the handle was for a badge to screw onto,, an old police revolver ...

this one takes .38 S&W......my wifes son says hes shot it not too long a go........I dont think I need to do that

I cleaned this one too.  I also found the box burried in my shop, cleaned the sawdust off of it (I think the sawdust preserved it) and the box looked great.

Its a Model 19-3 with a 4" barrel.  It has a very finely tuned trigger spring.  When I let someone shoot it single action....I say finger off the trigger.  On target...ok leave finger off the trigger, now rooster the hammer with finger OFF the trigger.......Now.....still "on target" gently place your fingerBANG!  Happenes everytime.  But its a great shooter

I am taking my 1897 built in 1898 Krag to Camp Perry again in a week or so to run its 35 rounds per year that I feed it.
