Upon sharing that experience in this forum, some folks concluded that I was capping an attitude which could use adjustment...

Probably true if the attitude adjuster would raise my "debt ceiling" and starts paying my bills...

I think that sharing these poor outcomes is good, even for those that have had good experiences with ANY Vendor ... Sometimes "stuff does happen." ???
To be sure, 90% of my dealings w/-CC had been positive. But it was those last two transactions that like you, have caused me to go elsewhere for my needs...
even when their item-price might be cheaper.
Too many hoops to jump through and consolation price offers to cover their screw ups... (I refused their gimmicky offers). Meanwhile all their
communications start and end with ... "Share the Passion..." hard to do when they are passionately trying to screw you.
Sorry to learn that someone else experienced the same discomfort.
