I thought the rear brake rotor was the same for alll models.  HDl list different part numbers for a '98 than a '01 IS.....or is the difference a unpdated part number or something?

The mounting area on the I/S rotor is thicker than the early Standard and Tourers.  The mounting flange on the wheel was also changed to accommodate the thicker rotor.  Eventually all Valks ended up with the new wheel/rotor combination.

97' - 99' stnd/tourer, same rotor.

New rotor for the 99'-01' IS and the 00'-03' std/tourer.

They are interchangeable, but you may need washers and/or the brake mount (?) to match the rotor.

Thanks a lot, there is one on ebay that came from a 98 with 26K miles on it.  I am rounding up selected parts for future needs, it looks a bit over used but for the price it might be worth having it as a spare. The rate of wear on my rear rotor is however so low, it would probably be another 100-150K before needing a rotor.....never hurts to collect 'stuff' tho...never know when we are gonna have another "ujoint" shortage.
