 ???
I need to have a competent mechanic diagnose a couple of issues on my 2003 Standard (20,000 miles).  I still have a warranty on the bike so it makes sense to take it to a dealer, but I've not had good luck  with them in the past.  Does anyone know of a good Valk mechanic (dealer or independent)?
There is some vibration in the grips that seems to be getting worse and it is harder to push into a corner than it was before.  An overall checkup is probably in order.  I do the basic maint. myself but I don't feel competent enough to start a major repair.
Any advice would be appreciated.

His profile shows that he's from Glen Rose, Texas. If it's under warranty, I would take it to Al Lamb's Dallas Honda. Might be a little bit of a ride from Glen Rose, but they know valkyries. They sponsor the D/FW VRCC and they are good people to deal with.

First thought - How do your tires look? Old, worn out tires or out of balance tires will make a good bike bad worse than new tires will make her new again. ~Jeff

My tires have approx. 4,000 miles on them (Avon Venoms).  I could be imagining things, but it doesn't seem like the vibration in the grips was there last year.  I wouldn't think that wheel bearings or the drive line should be an issue with only 20,000 miles on the clock, the bike's not broke in good yet. Next time I'm around someone else who has a Valkyrie maybe they can ride it and give me a better analysis.  Thanks for the replies.
