Today I was searching the net for a good price on a new  Goodyear Assurance triple tread 205/60/16 and found this deal.
http://www.treadepot.com/tire/399067508.html

They have them priced at $80 and shipping was $19  which put it at my door for under $100.
I didn't think that was to bad.

Had to ride home through insane lightning, thunder, rain, and hail last evening (car is in the shop) and the tire was sure footed and I felt secure on the bike, even though I couldn't for shyte!  It does feel a bit squirrely on uneven road surfaces, but it never loses its traction (just something I have to get used to).  Running it with a new Metzeler ME88 up front.  So far, I'm glad I made the switch.   cooldude

Gary

yesterday for the first time in my life I pulled the CAR under an overpass as the marble and larger
 sized hail was falling

I did not take the bike as I knew radar predicted lots of red and black colors and friday's tornado was still on my mind. I waited 20 minutes for the worst to pass before heading out  Cars off the road everywhere

Took the bike today tho

Glad you are FINALLY riding again and having fun on the car tire

The Saw Mill is a great road for breaking that baby in    cooldude

Try not to get any appreciation awards ok?

Great Price, same tire cost me $130, negotiated down from $150. Not much competition around here to keep prices down.

I had to pull off of the Saw Mill inbetween Readers Digest and Pleasantville.  I was getting hit by small bits of hail and just couldn't see anylonger.  Was under the trees for about 45 minutes waiting for it to end.  All the while yelling to the heavens "Enough Already" as I had to pick up Eric from camp.  When the hail subsided, I headed out again and she cleared up when I was passing the Medical Center on the Sprain.  As I squished an dripped my way into the camp house, I had to apologise because I made them wait with him for almost an hour.  The woman was on the phone with my father-in-law trying to give him directions from the Bronx.  This one was worse than the downpour during the last leg into Tennessee.  And NO rain gear  uglystupid2

I had a car tire on that run !!

Maybe thats why I never stopped.

That ToyoProxesT1R was sure stable in the rain, never slid out during that storm or ever and it laughed at tar snakes..but the ruts on 9 as you are going down toward the light for annsville gave me shudders
as she bounced around the lane. Same on other truck roads  Now that its paved well we will see if I put another car tire on my spare wheel
