Looks like this is the new pioneer lifestyle.
The undiscovered country.
The Future.
WWI Veterans lived the same way in shanty towns after the Great War to end all wars. until the Gov't came and ran them off.
Which they will do to these people.
Reality at it's worse.

What gripes my a$$ is that these were WORKING folks who now should be able to move into public housing that are stuffed with those who didn't work and made it their permanent housing. These are the folks who should be getting public assistance for food and clothing and not the ones driving the pimping cars and sporting gold teeth and more bling than I have on my Valkyrie (now it's related).

Keep on voting Republican. They are the folks that cut the benefits for working stiffs screwed by the recession while voting for tax breaks for the rich that only makes the deficit worse. Never have been able to figure it out. Why vote for someone who keeps jammin' the bat up the working man's arse?

oh your soo right, you have just convinced me that the EVIL republicans are all to blame. do you want the working man to have a job or just keep getting benefits? There's a lot of truth in what he says though. More and more people are out of work while US corporation make more and more profit without adding to their workforces. At the last shop I worked at we had an engineering department that was tasked with designing STC's for certain types of aircraft. We had one guy working in that department in his late 20's. Thought he was really hot crap too, Bechkittybaugh Republican, fairly successful for a young guy, owned a nice house and a nice car... One day at lunch I overheard him talking about the "Scum of the earth living on unemployment, need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, I hope someone assassinates Obama" etc. I just let it go at the time figuring that he'll learn someday. Well fast forward to two months later and the STC his crew was working on was canceled and as one of the junior guys on the team he found himself out of work and on (you guessed it) unemployment. Over a year later he had to sell his house at a considerable loss and move to Denver for a job paying considerably less than he was making here. Believe it or not despite his ignorant attitude I felt for the guy because this particular company was crap to work for and they could have kept him and moved him to another project. He even offered to do work in the wire room building harnesses and testing them out (not as simple and menial as it sounds) until another project can down the line. Nope, see ya later. Shortly thereafter I found myself out of work because I refused to work seven day weeks. I was told straight up in my performance review that I "needed to chose between work and free time". Now for me free time is almost all family time. I told them that I had already made my choice and that my choice was family. I was let go about two months later when they found some other chump who would work himself to death and have no life. I really didn't like the place and only worked there because it was so close to home so I wasn't broken up about it. I quickly landed on my feet but that's not really the point. I felt bad for all guys there that didn't have wives that make a good living to fall back on. They can't tell them that they're not gonna go a month without seeing their kids or that they're not gonna miss all their baseball games or dance recitals. I have that luxury. But the way they treat those guys is not fair.

But the way they treat those guys is not fair. there is almost no reason to add to the workforce because of a variety of reasons. the taxes that will hit in a couple of years because of obama care, the bush era tax rates that will end soon are two prime indicators of an economic slow down that will hit in a year or two. this is the easiest recession to call in the history of the country, look for the double dip coming soon. why hire people just to let them go in the near future. my 5 year plan? get out of debt and hold onto as much (depreciated) money as I can get my hands on. new car, no. new credit cards, no. fix and repair everything I can, make it work for a while longer.

Folks like this don;t want your stinkin government housing or their rules.
They will make it.
Survivors.
The Housing Projects should all be vacated of people and blown up.
Self perpetuating cesspool that no kid should be raised in.
As far as taxin the rich people, who owns the Walmarts and Sears and JC Penney and Krogers.
Tax those people and your food goes up and your clothes go up.
The big boys get it back.
How can anyone be so stupid as to think you can tax a millionaire into the poor house and not harmthe rest of us.
It started in Germany, it's ok to do it to them becasue we are not them.
Then later they come for you.
It will be a matter of time till they want everything you have, no matter who you are.
ANd just keep on spending.

Yes and I also have two young children that I take care of which necessitates me being home a lot. Fortunately I can do a lot of my work from here.

I dunno, why do the poor people have huge dogs and the rich ones have little pooches? Spend seem time searching for Section 8 vet care. Got a pet you can't afford to look after? The Federal Govt can help. Makes me wanna puke. When I post about the Fed Govt I encompass all of the vote buyers in our nations capital.
