Howdy Y'all,

Just bought a "new" 97 Tourer w/19K miles, my very first Valk after looking for 2 years.  This will be my last bike I ever own!  The wife wants a taller backrest.  Any suggestions out there?

My 97 was pretty new at the first Johnson City InZane, still had the
OEM seats on it. With all the vendors there, we picked up a ultimate passenger seat
and a Mustang backrest, and later Ultimate passenger armrests... Carolyn really likes
the setup... just the backrest alone would count for "taller", since it is bigger...

There's at least two companies that make backrests that will mount to the OEM backrest mount.  Ulitmate and Mustang.  There may be others but can't think of any right now.

However, if you want taller, Jardine made a short and a tall version.  There's one of each on ebay right now.  Here's the link to the tall backrest (there's kinda $pendy though)......

Contact Des at Ultimate.   He makes a taller and wider backrest for the passenger.    I don't think it is on his website.    Just ask him for it.      I have one on MGM when it is not solo'ed out.       Wife and daughter-in-law and daughter all 3 like it.     Wife says she feels like there is at least something there to hold her back and support it.         tickedoff 2funny crazy2 cooldude
