An auction ended about a couple hours ago for a used Rattlebars Kickshifter. Since I was going to be at school when it ended I set my sniper program to bid on it for me. I shouldn't have bothered. I set my top bid at $150. It sold for $306. Somebody wanted it real bad!! Marty

Now that he's retired and no longer interested in this stuff, I wish Chet would publish his drawings so we could make or contract owr own. I would LOVE a kickshifter. Ane Under Ware. Fred.

I emailed him asking to do a run of these and he directed me to the one on ebay. I didn't bid on it as I knew it would go high, but come on. That's insane

That's insane Even though a lot of our (valk) stuff be gettin rarer then hens teeth-myself i'm starting to think some folks look forward to and/or enjoy paying way tooooooo much fer something. And it just isn't on E-bay. Some of the local auctions i go to-well lets just say i've seen used up equipment and tools go for 30% 45% OVER retail. It gets way beyond ridiculous what some folks pay for some of this stuff. No cure for it though-thats why the call it an auction. Can you spell DEEP pockets. RIDE SAFE.

If someone wants pictures of the one I made I can send them out to them. I have pictures with a tape measure beside it so you can get the scale. If they need a template I can make one of those as well.

I would have sent you an email but yours is hidden. Send it to me at ppcshooter1 AT msn DOT com. A template would be appreciated also. Marty

Bscrive, thanks for the photos. Your e-mail won't let me respond so I'll do it here. And yes, if you draw out a detailed template I would like a copy. Fred.

It appears that all parts "Valkyrie" on ebay go for a ridiculous amount of money...over 1200 for a set of used oem bags, etc. etc....next set on a bike I find I may have to steal...just kidding. But have come to the conclusion it might be cheaper to buy a whole bike just for the parts I want, then part out the rest (or not)..

There are a lot of parts associated with the rattlebar kickshifter. I would make sure that every part is there when buying used or bidding on a used one. Aaaand, every part is most definitely needed for it to function properly. Just a word to the wise.
