They used to sell neoprene slip-over grips that increased the diameter considerably. Guys with the all metal custom grips used to like them for cold weather riding. You might still find em at Competition Accessories.

I just looked at Compacc.com and they sell the grab-ons. I'd say go for it. They're not expensive and I know at least a few guys who liked the very similar ones I've seen.

Several riders around here (me included) wrap the grips with tennis racquet tape.
Cheap enough at wally world. If/when it gets dirty, throw it away and do it again.
Works well.

on both my ZX14 and the Concours 14 I use foam dirt bike grips, about 5-6 bucks a pair.  On the ZX I replaced the stock grips with them, on the Connie I just streached them over the stock grips.  When the foam starts to go south, just replace them.

Although the Valk grips are plenty large enough for me, that wasn't the case with the V-Strom. I am using a similar product called "Grip Puppies" on it. The Puppies are available from California Sport Touring. I like 'em  cooldude

I'm with Six2Go here.  The grip puppies work great on my Vstrom too.

Grip puppies on my ST1300 took the bars from holding razor blades to a comfortable ride.

5 years 5 months and 82,000 miles later they are still comfortable.

Use LOTS of very soapy water to slide them on.
