I just had him install a set of the quad horns at Inzane. These horns rock. I called my grandkids out into the barn when I got back and while they were looking at the new bling I let them hear the horn. They almost ran out the door. The five year old was shaking afterwards. Grin I haven't needed them on the road yet but they've been a hit at work with every rider coming out to hear them. The bike looks better without the factory horn too.

I read something about a break resistant bracket. How tough is the original (I have one from last year) and can one get a break resistant unit? Is it really a hazard?

Hey PhredValk
If you got my horns at Inzane or after Inzane in end of July 2010 you already have that bracket I changed new bracket size. If you want to make sure you can look under and see long bracket is 1-1/4" wide that is new. if you see 3/4" long bracket then need to change it.

If anyone else want to change better bracket any one can contact me for new bracket that I sell em (no price on this site due to vrcc policy so contact me for the price) I have not create one on my web site yet I will do that when I get home.

If your wonder why change from past? I had it same design of horns in 2004 on my green/black valk and I use it many time and run about 75,000 miles the bracket never broke off yet until I crashed in 2007 and is still there. Anyway I got first respond on broken bracket in 2006. He thought he may bend it when he use lift adapter and I thought no it can't be bec its not even close with adapter.. Later I got another respond in 2008 and couple more in 2010. I guess that bracket 3/4" is not good from metal supply I think metal got cheap quality to sell and price when up on metal around in 2005. I figure that the problem with 3/4" wide and the drill hole 5/16" may cause broke off when in vibrate from rough road. I change to wider 1-1/4" last year so far no problem with about 58 Ouad horns set that I sold. I bought metal last June and find out they were out of 1-1/4" so I got 1-1/2" wide. That should be stronger and I believe will not break again from rough road... You or anyone  can email 98valk@bigbf.com me if you need new bracket to prevent break in future.
