Yeah, you are WAAAAY overdue for InZane attendance! Can't reveal the exact location yet, not until contracts are signed. But we've got the entire hotel blocked, so you couldn't make a reservation yet anyway.

Arkansas is a very nice place to ride around the Boston Mountain area. Many of the towns really cater to bikers. Some even have maps with routs allready marked. Average around 100 miles with just about as many curves.
Great choice..

Hmm, I've spent some good times in Arkansas in years past. My parents retired there from teaching in Iowa, settled in Mountain Home...less than 100 miles east. When I was flying regularly, my wife at the time(also a pilot) and I would rent a plane and fly there for Thanksgiving. There's a neat restaurant on the White River below the Bull Shoals dam...at least there used to be one, don't know if it's still there. Haven't been back since the folks passed away and my younger sister followed a couple years ago. That restaurant had a grass strip out front, dad used to get a kick out of taking a sight seeing flight with me then dropping in for lunch. Some great riding in that area, plenty to see and do. Looking forward to next summer, hopefully things will be different and I can travel again.

Looks like I will be taking my heated gear You people do know how hot Arkansas gets in mid July I believe the news said it was only 103 degrees in Little Rock today. Heat index around 113. It was much cooler here this afternoon ( 70 miles from Paducah ), 97 degrees with a 110 heat index.

Looks like I will be taking my heated gear You people do know how hot Arkansas gets in mid July The area chosen is typically mid 80s in July (trust me, I check these things, since Paducah). This year was an exception and they were quite a bit hotter than usual... but then, so was the rest of the country. Hopefully next year will be closer to their normal. Now quitcher whining and get those Gerbings in working order!

I'll be there, hopefully we'll be there. This is as close as InZane has ever come to my house and by God I'll be there. The country is very pretty arround that area. We go to Branson every year and have traveled to several small towns in that part of Arkanas many times. I'm pumped all ready.

didn't stop us from having a good time though. even if there are no level spot in the entire town to park LOL

concerning the Banditos....they're pretty much all over these parts. We gather in the same places frequently. the only issue they've ever had with any of "us" non 1% folks....is they don't want you to have patches/colors indicating you are an MC (motorcycle club) and they don't want you sporting "rockers" indicating "territory". The VRCC is NOT an MC. We are the Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club....and NOT an MC. And ...just don't hvae a 'rocker' on your vest/jacket. IE, a rocker is a patch located BELOW the main patch...indicating an area/city/state. Ie, we had to remove a rocker we had below are Southern Cruisers patch that said "Central Alabama". That was a "no no". likewise when we started up the Chapter 10 of the Green Knights Motorcycle CLub (nationwide Military club)....EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A NATIONWIDE CLUB......and the US military at that....we had to go to the Banditos and get permission to wear our colors/patch in this area. It was granted........ I'm not here to argue whether these "rules" are fair/BS/ok/insane/unreasonable....i'm just sharing some insight with the policies of the Banditos down here in the South. i neither am one of them/nor speak for them/etc.........I just have FIRST HAND experience with them and the local clubs in our area dealing with them. Yes, they are in our city too........ It's a non-issue............though i would NOT where rockers with locations.........in their territory..... here is the Green Knights local patch (it is a MC and it has territory/area...thus we had to get approval to wear it) never REALLY understood how all that worked. thanks. guess i'm good to go, don't have any patches/rockers/vest!! also will be down there from aug 27 to sept 4th. see you then. i can't guarantee the rotator works, but it's yours. i'll let you know on here when i get there.

Inzane is the national VRCC Rally, held each year. More Valkyries in one place than you will ever see anywhere. Vendors, Raffles, Rides, Bike Games, Charity Poker run, Bike Show.....and not to mention hanging out with VRCC family! -Scott

Can't reveal the exact location yet, not until contracts are signed. But we've got the entire hotel blocked, so you couldn't make a reservation yet anyway.
Any update on the Hotel? Just curious because we'd like to set up reservations as soon as we can... Thanks!

For IRS reasons, we generally can't open registration until after Jan. 1. We discussed some ways to get around that, but alll of the ideas pretty much suck. Long story short... plan on signing up the first week of Jan.

So, tell me. What exactly does InZane mean, where did the name come from and should new-comers expect any newby rituals?

So, tell me. What exactly does InZane mean, where did the name come from and should new-comers expect any newby rituals? The first three annual events were held in Zanesville, Ohio not far from the Marysville plant in which the Valkyries were manufactured. It seemed good to call the gathering InZane with its attendant references to the asylum, insanity and such.
When the fourth gathering was moved to Paducah, Kentucky, the participants liked the name and the references to insanity so well they kept the name even though the location was no longer implied by that name.
No newby rituals other than the chance to meet a lot of other Valkyrie riders and see more Valkyries than you will ever otherwise see in one location.
