My 99 I/S has air shocks in the rear. I do not believe that they were standard equipment, but I am not sure. I am unable to find a name brand on the housing, so I am unsure as to how much air to run in them.
2nd, the front suspension just sucks. I have to upgrade that ASAP. From online reviews, that seemed to be the weak point of the bike. What is recommended for replacement to make a better ride?

The air shocks are probably PROGRESSIVE brand...

Progressive has springs for Valkyrie forks that will make your forks pretty
darned awesome...

The max air pressure is 70 psi.  Warlock runs 30 psi in his one up and i don't remember how much he adds when Cool Breeze accompanies him.  I'm running between 30 and 35 psi in mine.  Progressive doesn't actually advocate any particular pressure setting.  They have instructions on how to figure it out in their instructions on their website.  Click here http://www.progressivesuspension.com/metric/416series/index.html then on the pic under the bikes front tire and you can download the instruction manual.
