The Landmass Between Mobile And New Orleans

« on: August 05, 2011, 04:28:37 AM »

Got my book list for Nursing School yesterday.  I have to rent 3 textbooks from the school, no choice. $30 rental per book that is not optional, and buy 7 others.  10 books and 1 of them has 2 volumes, so 11 overall.   Shocked  I need something to carry them in plus notebooks and other school supplies on my Valks.  It would be nice if it had wheels cause that amount will be a back or arm breaker trying to carry them.  Any suggestions?

TIA,
Marty

+1 on the Airline bag... Strap it on the pillion seat or luggage rack for the ride.  Wheels, retractable handle... probably  just the ticket for you... Good luck in school... cooldude

Check with the publisher. If you own a copy of their book, most will let you download an electronic copy from them. Our high school kids have their textbooks on netbooks.

Holy armloads Batman thats a lot of books.  Is that for on semester, class, or whole program.  My nursing classes only had one book and maybe a "module" (workbook) per class.  Shouldn't have to carry all at one time.

Friend of mine is going to the University of South Alabama's Nursing Program.  She told me they have a hefty technology fee that gets them an Ipad loaded with electronic versions of their textbooks.  I tried to e textbooks but couldn't.

I was looking at the book and equipment list and discovered that's for the whole program.  The 2nd and 3rd semesters only have a supply bag listed and the 4th semester shows nothing.
