Thank you all for the birthday wishes.  You gals and guys are the best.   angel

I did get about 100 miles in before it got too hot.   cooldude

And, just so you know, I'm not 51.  I'm 17 for the third time!  For the next year, that will be my standing explanation for my behavior.   Cheesy

Thanks, TJ.  It was fun - again - and I can't wait until the next time we all ride together.  BTW, all you guys did such a great job with the Raffle Tickets that I have been "informed" they are "ours" again next year!

Thanks, Mark and Liz.  Mark, see Raffle Tickets above!

Thanks, Jimmy.  See you in October, if not sooner.  See Raffle Tickets above!

Thanks, Matt.  And thanks for solving the mystery, I guess...

Thanks, Jim, John, Art, Walt, Jeff, Brian (great line!), Steve (Raffle Tickets!), David, Pat (Raffle Tickets!), Chip (Raffle Tickets), Fred, BJ, Jean, Dag, David, David, Victor, and Chris!

Back atcha, Chris!  Great to meet and ride with you, too.

The entire shock thing proves - once again - that I need a second Valkyrie.  Right, Chip and Mark and David and Victor?  The 13" non-HDs are great while I'm solo or have the bike lightly loaded.  Otherwise, I can bottom out too easily, and that's a bit disappointing.  The (self-serving?) way I look at it is, that a pair of HDs sitting on the shelf for when I'm going to carry some att'l weight is a significant percentage of the purchase price of another (rescue?) Valk.  That way, I could have one set up for long distance touring and the other for local hot rodding...  Sounds good to me, except they made three variants...  Hmmm

Sounds like a good idea to me.  You have made that bumblebee yours and it is one of the most distinctive, beautiful motorcycles  I have ever seen.  No reason to tinker with perfection.  Keep it solo.  I think you could do a similar paint job/look on an Interstate.  Or go the Goldwing route again for that two-up rider.

But I only ride one Valk at a time and I'm used to the two-up setup on the I/S, even if my spousal Unit does not frequent the back seat.  (Maybe grandkids will want to ride back there eventually).  My son will get the Tourer back once he has a proper place to store it (not outside, not in a shed, etc) and learns to take care of it properly.  So I am a temporary 2 valk owner, as I see it.

And, I do not see a gOldwing in my immediate future, despite your thoughts on the subject.  A cruise control on an I/S does not cause it to grow excessive tupperware.  Grin
