Lookin' good Warren. Certainly a lot bigger than these on my 1000. But there again, mine are for local rides only and nothing off road. Knees wouldn't handle holding up this V.

BG, the V1000 weighs about 525 wet. The Wee weighs about 30-40 pounds less.  After trying to push the Valk around at close to 800 pounds, the Strom is much easier.

INHO, the Wee is better if you like off road riding.  The V is better two up or if you're carrying some extra pounds.

The Wee is more popular and I don't think that the V1000 is being brought to the US anymore.  Having said that, my Vstrom 1000 is one heckuva lot of fun.  Lots of raw power with a few extras over the Wee. Two mufflers, handguards, etc.  I've never ridden the Wee (650) so i can't compare the two.

Some say that the 1000 will beat the Valk, I don't know but it's no slouch in the getup and go category.

I'm happy with mine.

Scott has shown me several times that his Vstrom will take a Valk. It's not even much of a race. The Vstrom will even come near taking the ST1300 but not quite.
