I can not remember my last bad day

I can not thank you all enough for the thoughts, prayers, and nice comments that were left on my last thread. Announcement from Valkyrie Bling. I have printed the thread off for Lefty to see and he was quite impressed with the good nature that this club has to offer.

He is now getting home hospice care as he is deteriorating quickly. We are thinking within a couple weeks. He was a Korean War Vet so I am trying to arrange a unit for his funeral. Have never done this before but I am just going to call th local VFW. I have no idea if he is or was a member.

Can you believe that I was DENIED FMLA too. The job says that inlaws are not considered family according to the gubment. I am mortified by this. They did tell me I would get bereavement though. So let me get this straight. They will give me 3 days to be with him after he is gone and none before he passes. There are somethings that just do not make any sense.

prayers for you and the family during this difficult time.

Mike, i'm a member of the Korean War Veterans Ass'n.  If it would help, I can find the closest chapter of the KWVA and give that info to you.  Let me know either here or offline.

That does not sound right Mike I would ask someone outside of the company I think you do have the right to FMLA you may need to change your reason from Father-in-Law to care for your wife... Might want to put a call into your State Rep. or Congressman.

The PGR will be honored to do as much or as little as you would like us to do, from a silent flag line to a full escort.
