Has anyone bought a Pro lift or anthing similar that stays bolted to your bike. Does it interfere with ground clearance? I like the idea of just rolling my MC jack under and go like any other bike.  |

I know there's a bolt on permanent lift adapter being sold on ebay. Afa being able to slide a jack under bikes without an adapter, I know the 1100 Shadows required an adapter. The engines hung below the frame and you couldn't use it as a lift point as you ran the risk of cracking the case.

I know of two people using the pro-lift. I have one on my bike and a buddy has one on his bike. We both think that they're great as we don't have to mess with the adapters. I use my jack much more now for washing and detailing than I use to. |

I had no idea what a Pro Lift is...... until I clicked on the link for the Ebay Valkyrie Adapter that stays on your bike. That "Pro Lift" is actually the jack, and not the adapter tho..... you can read it on the jack rails/arms. However, I do have that adapter that is permanently mounted on your bike, had it for years and love it. I got one, but it interferes with my quad horn. Should be easy to fix, just needs some fiddling.
I inadvertantly left my spoonland-style on the bike once and it scared the **** out of me,
these pro-lift ones seem like a good idea to me.
When using the "scary" one, I put the jack in a slightly different position under the bike, depending
on whether I'm lifting the front or the back, doesn't look like there's many choices with the pro-lift,
will have to see how that works out...

I rode off with mine still attached one day as well...............Yah, scary thing, I added a length of flagging tape to wrap around the throttle when it was attached after that. I believe you could still vary the position of the jack by simply laying an appropriately sized piece of plywood across the jacking platform. |

Thanks .... I took an old plastic mud flap and cut it to fit on the adaptor to help keep mud, dirt, water, etc, off the horns. Drilled and tapped some holes in the adaptor and used SS fender washers. They have been on there now for two years and no problems. They are LOUD !! It helps to use a wheel chock to hold the bike up while you're putting on the PRO LIFT adaptor .... especially if you're by yourself !!  Without the mudflap piece and horns ....  |

This thread got my butt in gear, and now my pro lift is mounted with my quad horns... had to cut a slot in the pro lift... sure is cramped working up in there    The two big kickstand bolts and the two quad horn bolts all had to be held with a wrench in order to tighten their nuts...  Haven't jacked the bike up yet, I hope it is still easy to lift either the front or the back, not sure how that's going to work... -Mike |

Might depend on what lift you're using .... I use a Pit Bull and it will lift it evenly and can remove either front or rear wheel but I placed a support under one of wheels for peace of mind. And you're right .... it is cramped, makes you wish your arms had u-joints   |
