2001 I/S, where can I find the rubber bumpers that slide onto the tabs on the bottom side of the saddlebag lids to hold it off the side of the bag when open? One of mine is missing and don't want to scratch the paint on the bag when I have it open. If I could buy them in bulk I would. Dealer the onle place? How's the best way to keep them from falling off? Thanks

This is where I bought mine.  $1.19 each.  I bought 6 in case I lost any.  Cheap enough to help save the paint.  I didn't find these soon enough to save the paint on the side of my bags....  Sad

I bought some of the material you dip tool handles in to plastic coat them.  Removed the stays from the saddle bag lids and dipped them multiple times until I had a good thickness built up.  This would work even better with the rubber bumpers on, and insure they wouldn't come off again.

When I bought my 99 IS the previous owner had scratched the livin' crap out of the saddle bags because the bumpers fell off and he didn't notice it until the damage was done.  I removed the screws that hold the tethers to the lids, removed the lids, and removed the metal paint molesters from the bag lids.  Now I just take the lids off and set them on the ground.  Makesit easier to stuff the bags, and no paint damage.
