This came up due to another thread where I had mentioned that I intend to install the cruise control when I lift the tank to desmog and change air filters etc.
Bullgoose sent me a message asking where I bought the Audiovox, and I sent him the link to Murphs Kits. He sent me another message saying the kits only came with monitoring for the computer module tach and a magnet install for the drive shaft. I checked the site, and apparently he's right. I dug the CC out of my procrastination pile in the basement, and it does have some magnets and a sensor.
I would like to hear from some of you who have installed this unit recently (Hey, Fordmano

). Has the function and operation of this unit changed recently, or is this the norm?
Instructions from Dave Sproul on angelfire.com and our own Shoptalk (Audiovox CCS-100 Cruise Control Submitted by QueXpress (Normand in QUÉBEC) both say the blue wire goes to the negative on one of the coils.
Can we ignore the Audiovox instructions on this and still go with Normand and Dave? I need to know before I eventually get around to it, and bullgoose (and others) will need to know before making the purchase.
Fred.
