we left for our weekend. I started bike and it sounded a little off and I waited for it to smooth out. OK, just my imagination?
noticed before getting thru gears, I/m missing some power, 8 miles to town, sounds ok, missing power. I have 50 miles on tank. I drove to work and back last night and don't remember lack of power, but I was alone and no baggage. Stopped at friends bike shop, confirmed, it's firing, it's advancing, maybe bad gas??   We did drive in a massive storm/wind /hail the day before.
I filled tank, leaving town now 11 miles from home and I have full power???  something in tank??  I have dumped it weeks ago.

Sunday morning, sat out in thunderstorm all night. It felt like low power again, 11 miles later just fine

Can something get wet without a miss-fire?   dyna 3000(new,2k miles) if it matters(I do carry my orig)

how about this

drain the dragon drool from the tube there is a clamp to remove the cap, you may get a capful of stuff out from there

I'll check the drool, I had tank off and rinsed this year. What am I checking on vent, make sure line is clear going out and blow back towards tank to see if clear?

thanks

I went through two Dyna 3000 before going back to the OEM.  Problems were similar although mine would also stall.  I could then restart it only to find that 2 more miles down the road the same issue.  I suggest putting the OEM back in and seeing were that takes you.

Is that something like a pcv valve on a car?

Line is not kinked and clear. There should be a "T" about 1/2 way down that has nothing on one port (used are a vacuum breaker).

It's common to get the vent line kinked up near the tank when removing/replacing it. If that happens or spiders or whatnot clog up the ports you can starve for fuel under some conditions.
