Rented Red Riding Hood from Red Box this weekend.

It makes my wife mad when I tell her 5 minutes into a movie how it will end. No problem here. I didn't see this one coming.
Set design and cinematography are absolutely top notch. I would have never though of a sound track like that. I can't believe this got through the theater with so little fan fair. I'll be buying the DVD just for the special features.

Movies come out so soon now on video rental that I won't pay those prices at the theater.  And there is always the chance...good chance of someone using their damn cell phone or just plain talking to a friend through the movie. Too much rudeness these day's.

I liek the theatre experience.    So,  I go to Cheap Flicks and get in for $3 -- spend $7 for a soda and popcorn and I am happy.

Latest flick seen:  Larry Crowne -- it was fun.

Saw Takers the other night on Starz.  It was pretty good.  Definitely better than I expected which wasn't much.

We also saw Cowboys and Aliens last weekend.  It was pretty good.  We mainly go because my wife loves theatre popcorn.  Sometimes we just buy the popcorn on the way home and rent a movie.  Although, at Costco you can get a pass for two people and it includes two regular drinks and a regular popcorn for $22.99.  We pay the extra $2.85 at the theatre to upsize the popcorn to a large with extra butter.

'the help' is very good.  story, acting, writing, set, costume, soundtrack.  all are stellar.

i hate going to the theater.  there's always someone clapping, caughing, people walking infront of the screen, so i got myself a 54" tv, hooked it up to a Bose system, and rock the heck out of my basement any time i want!!

back to your question, i rented "Majestic" with Jim Carey last week, it's a serious movie, unlike the typical Jim Carey movies he plays a serious part.  very good movie.

it's about a movie writter that gets a bump on his head, ends up in a small town were he's thought to be a hero, i'll leave it there!!!

good movie.

Sounds like there was a big bad wolf sitting in the audience too.

If you like flicks with some action in it... A good one that has been out for a couple of years.  (read get the video) is "Taken" with Liam Neeson.  He plays a great part and it's an awesome movie IMO.
He is an Ex-Special Ops and his daughter is kidnapped while vacationing in Europe by a Sex-Slave ring.  He goes on a serious rampage to find, and get his daughter back.  Check it out. cooldude cooldude

A couple of weeks ago I went to see a movie that won't be out for another few weeks.  You might want to put it on your list to check out.

Very funny....bittersweet...and very personal for me.

Movie's title is 50/50.
