Dag, You need to submit your version of the EVO to Honda. It looks more like what I would like to see in a new Valk.

hear, hear! i would be interested in it if it didn't look quite so much like a dirtbike. maybe dag could get on the creative design team over at honda and help them with the cruiser version? the crevo-6?

The one feature that I REALLY like is the Single Sided Swingarm. Imagine undoing 5 bolts and having your wheel off... When I was changing my tire, I will admit I was cursing and asking myself repeatedly why I didn't get the BMW LT...then when I was done and was riding I remembered  It looks like a true power-cruiser to me...something akin to the 2009 v-max... I´m curious about this transmission. The HFT transmission have a selection of two automatic shifting modes: D - Mode for ordinary riding S - Mode for "sporty" riding And a 6-speed manual mode, which gives riders the option of riding with a manual transmission feel. "Characteristics of the HFT A transmission system with a wide range of functions in a single unit, the HFT is a compact and highly efficient infinitely variable transmission system encompassing functions for starting, power transmission and shifting, all on a single shaft. The basic configuration of the system consists of an oil pump for converting engine power into hydraulic pressure, and an oil motor for converting the hydraulic pressure back into power for output. Both are made up of multiple pistons, a distributor valve and a swash plate for piston operation, while the cylinders are integrated into the output shaft, forming the characteristic structure of the HFT.
The HFT also features the world’s first* lockup mechanism for an infinitely variable hydraulic mechanical transmission. When cruising, this lockup mechanism works to minimize transmission efficiency losses, contributing to improved fuel economy."

Sounds like a CVT that they are making feel like its stepped. If you could get over the disconnect, having it work like CVT is supposed could really up the performance...maybe not on a H-6...but on a bike like the Interceptor (V-4 with V-Tech) you could have it scream at peak HP and let the transmission keep it there. No one would like it though...would sound horrible and feel extremely weird. Thats why the CVT's in cars imitate regular gear boxes.
