pretty dang cool.. there had to be a thousand rat rods runnin around town and out on the salt..I would guess there was prolly around 700 cars and motorcycles there tryin to break land speed records.. saw 1 streamliner break 400 mph. and several go past 300..in 2 weeks its the Bubs motorcycle trials.. they are expecting around a 1000 bikes.. every category imaginable will be represented..from something so small a spider monkey could ride it to triple hayabusa engine streamliners and EVERYTHING in between.. there are suppposed to be 4 there cpable of crackin 400 mph..you can bet yer butt I will be goin to that one.. on another note I got tangled up with 2 ratrods over the weekend on my 1980 GS1100 suzuki.. lets just say I represented..met people from australia new zealand and spain.. they have nothing like this in their countries and said coming to bonneville was a dream come true..

A good buddy of mine has his home built motorcycle out there. He's going for a record, of course. He hand built the frame and is using an Indian (from India) 350cc diesel engine with a cabbaged on turbocharger. He texted me and announced that he has passed tech inspection which is no easy feat. My fingers are crossed that he comes home with a record (the good kind) and doesn't kill himself in the process  cooldude.

Supposed to be the show of shows. Always been a dream to go.
The last youngin turns 18 next year so noone can tell him what to do.
Thats when the fun will start for the lovely and myself. All the toys are in place and plans are being bounced around. Fortunatly she's a motorhead too.
This should be a breeze, probly could grease the skids with some shoes.

Well, my buddy texted me and tells me that he has secured his world record on his home brew creation. I guess this makes him the "World's Fastest India(n)". He won't tell us his speed yet so I'm anxiously waiting to hear his story. No matter, it's gotta' be one of the best feelings in the world to accomplish a  dream like this.
