As much as I love my Shark Evoline 2 helmet...I have to talk about about the company.
If you are not familiar with it, it is one of the only ones that allows you to flip the chinbar over to the back of the helmet and still have use of the shield. So, I can wear it as a 3/4 helmet most of the time...and a full face when it is cold or raining.
Now for my problem...the last couple of rains I have been caught in, my shield does not stay clear. I have tried several products to keep the sheild clear but nothing has worked. (My next thought is to take it to a eye glass place and see if they can coat it...hopefully, they can.) When I first got the helmet, it would not fog to save my life. I contacted Shark (which is located in France) and they quickly responded stating that I must have cleaned it with something that would have stripped away the coating. But, they offered to send me a new shield. So, I sent them my mailing address and waited. This was 5/31. Fast forward to 7/26...still no shield so I contact Shark again and they state that 1 shield was on the way. Fast forward to today...3 weeks later...still no shield. I just sent off another email to them asking if they ever intend to send the replacement shield. I will let you know if I hear from them...
Since I was getting no help from Shark, I decided to see if I could find the shield online. Guess what...it is discontinued at almost every vendor I have checked. I have found one place on ebay that claims to have them but the picture was not the right shield...email sent...I have also found it at a couple of other online stores and have emails to them asking if it is truly available. I have also asked a UK friend of mine to see if he can find the shield. If I can find them, I will order a few to save up since I truly love the helmet.
It is just a pure shame that Shark is treating a loyal customer like this. Now, I understand if the US marketplace couldn't sustain the staying in the US...but come on...customer service is customer service.

I like the look of that helmet. But for the price I could buy a full face and a 3/4 face. Good concept though.

Update on this issue...
I have a new shield on its way to me from the new US Distributor. They are not set up for parts yet (the manager stole a shield from a new helmet to send me) so I will give them a little more time before I post their information. So far, it has been much better dealing with the US Distributor than Shark in France.
I did find out that the Evoline is not being discontinued...which is a relief to me.

There are/were actually 3 Shark Evoline helmets; the Evoline, Evoline 2 and the Evoline 2 ST. The ST is the latest one and has cut outs in the foam liner for helmet speakers. Shark used to be distributed by Tucker Rocky which is available to many motorcycle shops. They are no longer distributed by Tucker Rocky and I think the new distributor is something like Western Moto Sportswear????? Once the new US distributor is up and running helmets and parts should be readily available.
I've been thinking about getting the Shark Evoline 2 ST MooVit in white and have done some research on the helmets and the distribution lines.
All the best,
Mark

I have the Evoline Absolute, Version 1 and love it. One of the retaining tabs on the external shield broke on mine on just the 3rd time it was off....like you it took me a while to make contact with someone...International email returned no response, but they forwarded it to the US distributer who contacted me after about 4 weeks total. I had also mentioned that the internal sun visor seemed to get scratched real easy just by opening / closing the mechanism. They ended up sending me a free replacement external and internal visor. The internal visor had been re-designed for version 2 and thats the one they sent. So, yeah it takes a while if you need customer service, but once you make contact they are very good to deal with. FYI - I had my helmet for over 2 years when I had the issue, and they didnt care, wanted to make me happy.

Thank you for the correct distribution channel Joe. Maybe the MooVit is more available than I thought.
Thank You,
