I an 6'4" and have installed taller risers with an additional 1in pullback. The stock bars still are not comfortable for long trips. A buddy has a V-Star that he installed a Baron StarBar and wow, that is a comfortable riding position. I have looked extensively at the specs and I believe they will fit the Valk. Has anyone tried this or have any suggestions?

Testing the set up on a different (non Valk) bike can be very misleading since all things are not equal.
I'm referring to the other things like seat height, bike height, backbone and front stem relationship. Geometry and everything else that comes into play.
Jus sayin'

Lots of choices out there... I went with Wild 1 Chubby bars... http://www.wild1inc.com/40 styles to choose from... They are 1 1/4" bars, necked down to 1" at the bar clamp and the control ends. Mostly for the HD crowd, but fit my Valk just fine. I got the WO518RK's (made for the HD Road King) and really like the slightly wider, a bit lower, and a bit further back hand position... A look from the seat, showing the XF6 'OffSet' Triple Tree, and the Cycle House risers... Look in their 'Blem' section and if they have what you want, save a buncha $$$ Black Dog

I'm close to installing the drag bars on the bike permanently. I got the throttle cables, I just need to find the time to actually do it (taking the tank off and cutting and splicing the electrical is the most time consuming part). I'm not as tall as you but I find that the stock bar grip angle is all wrong for me. I like a much flatter angle and I want a bit more reach towards the bar.
I'm thinking that at your height you might want to at least consider the possibility of increasing the reach rather than bringing the bars closer.

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent. But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent. Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep. In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

I have Beach Bars which are similar to the Baron Starbar you speak of. They are mounted on Lamonster risers, with no other mods other than to reroute the throttle cables behind the triple trees. They must be comfortable because I never give them a second thought, no neck or arm fatigue ever and I have had them nearly 10 years now.

A good name for your bike. "Dragonfly"
Are there any more place you could install more pedals and footrests?
This is not criticism, just an observation.

There is at least one confirmed incident of a fellow sliding in a lowside crash that had the Kuryakyn Iso grip stiletto end cap puncture his thigh. Me, I come up under my handlebar ends at least several times a year while working on it.... and my old bald noggin already looks like a scar roadmap.

No worries, you're not the first to make that observation, I use both sets of pegs like running boards, Heel and toe on either set, mostly the front set...............Very comfortable, form follows function here. "Dragonfly" Hmmm, I like it.................Thanx !!! Those grip ends look nasty Oh Yes, they are, I've been reminded more than once of this while working on it, I'm pretty careful now.

I have two sets of bars in my garage Im not using Im going to sell. One is a set of Drag Specialties Drag bars done in black chrome finish. The other is a set of Jardine Solid Billet Aluminum chrome bars. I have a almost identical set of the Jardines on my bike now. Really cool looking bar. The Jardines are brand new. They went for over $500 when new. If interested, I can send you pics of both.

I have looked extensively at the specs and I believe they will fit the Valk. Has anyone tried this or have any suggestions? As long as they are 1" bars they should fit. Besides the cable length/rerouting issues you may have to do some modifications for the switches though. I installed bars from a Suzuki Volusia because I was used to those and didn't like the way the Valk bars positioned my hands (wrists cramped after a long ride). I had to drill the holes for the switches but other than that it was a staight forward installation. I then came back and replaced my "4 up-1 back" risers to "6 up-2 back" duece risers with an extra 1/2" spacer. This thing fits me well now. Brought the joy back to riding long trips.
