I had forgotten how many riders at Sturgis need to use their feet like training wheels when moving at parking lot speeds.

yeah, I find it comical Smiley  although I have been known to bob and swerve a little to make sure people I don't know don't pull up next to me and try and ride in my lane, Smiley  Man that bugs me... even if I do know you dont ride next to me Smiley I am ok with a friend pulling up at a light to talk, but..........

Smiley If I just look like a noob that cant ride they are less likely to creep up Smiley

from what I can tell it bounces around inside of the water poof case when I hit bumps :-/ and then echos some.

I will be working on ways to improve this... I didnt have the issue when it is helmet mounted, just when it is hard mounted to the bike

One of the cable channels had a weekly series following the owner of the full throttle for the week of Sturgis.  Some white dude with blonde dreadlocks.  This guy was a whiney crybaby who's only reason for doing anything was the dollar.  One day, they got hit with a hail storm and it busted up some neon signs and assorted other things....thought he was gonna cry himself a river!  Cry

Yes, there were quite a few doing "the dogpaddle" as I call it   Roll Eyes

I was parked close to the slingshot thing on Monday.  Saw the wall of death, and the Flaunt girls.  Had a great time, even though it was expensive.  $10 each to get in, and you got a 2 fer 1 ticket.  Not much of a deal at $5.50 a beer...

I doggy paddle all the time. Why pick my feet up if I'm going 1 mph and moving a bike length?

Because, you need both feet firmly planted on the footpegs, so your right foot can be on the brake as needed, and you have good balance.  The front brake should never be used at slow speeds as in a parking lot.  It makes the front end dive, which screws up your balance or if there is something on the ground under the front wheel besides perfect dry pavement...you could slide out.  My rule of thumb, going fast...stay off the rear brake.  Going slow, stay off the front brake.

I'm not here to preach proper riding techniques, you can ride however you want to. And I'm certainly not a riding instructor.   But you did ask, and the above is my opinion.  And like Gryphon Rider, riders duck walking or swinging their legs(some strange balancing act?) while riding slow(parking lot) is a pet peeve of mine.

Hey no prob.  cooldude I didnt see the vid but for me I meant as I'm stopped in Sturgis bike traffic where 1 bike moves up to the stop sign at a time. I always use my front brake while in line. By the time your feet get to the pegs you gotta put them down again. You gotta stop with both feet down anyway so a 8' duck walk at 1 mph is easier. At that speed you dont need much if any brake. Heck I even do it in N.  crazy2
