I am looking at installing a luggage rack on my 2002 standard.  What I am wondering, from those who have them, is what is the max weight you would feel comfortable carrying on them??  I am seeing that you should not go over 10 lbs.

Also, any suggestions for where I can find one.

Thanks,

Willie

OK - I just found my answer.  Should have guessed that I was not he first Lady owner to ask that question.  At least about how much weight it can hold.

Thanks,

I believe the luggage rack on the back of the passenger back rest has a sticker with a weight limit of either 6 or 8lbs.  I know I've gone way over that with my kury luggage pack packed to the brim with all kinds of things, mostly stuff you would normally pack on a long weekend.  Just as a guess, I'd say I've had 30+ lbs.

Same here. I've got a huge T-bag that the missus crams full. Then I strap a suitcase on top of that. Easily 30 lbs. Probably more.
