Just made my reservation to fly into Hobby in Houston

Thanks for the heads up Hotglue !!  Would hate to fly in the wrong weekend or the wrong airport.

Looking forward to my first GOTF even if I will be arriving the same way as TP   Cool

I think I will fly in to.

Rent a Gold Wing or Harley for the riding.

If I am invited.

Don't want to crash the party.

Rub it in Joe   Wink  but at least I am finally getting a chance to see what the fuss is about  Far as I know I will be the first Bronx native to be at the event

This will be the first time I have flown to a ride in. I have flown Bonnie to Denver and met her to ride Colorado and Gman and I flew the girls to Detroit before riding Michigan last year.

I know how much you love flying

The cost of the round trip flight is almost the same as the cost of riding ONE WAY and that doesn't include the 5 days of motels, meals and the cost of losing a whole week of work.

Now all I need is a bike to ride when i get there   Roll Eyes  Hay you know where I can find one?

Oss, you can ride my interstate on the Saturday morning ride.  I've even got a full face Shoei helmet you can wear.  It might be a bit big (XL), but should fit you.  I am more into helping out HG and FB than riding that weekend.  I like to sit around and visit with all of my out of town friends that weekend.

I can't WAIT!!!!!!

I believe it falls on my birthday next year, Mar 31. And I am looking forward to it also. Met Hotglue at and Flamingo Babe at the Whiskey Run. Heard lots of good things about thier gathering. Just got back to my hotel room at the Flatbusted in Kansas ride. Funny we were all at the pool a one of subjects was the got to go to GOTF. Put It on your Bucket List!

What is it & When is it and how do I get to it if I am invited?   coolsmiley

What is it - Hotglue and Flamingo Babe throw one hell of a great party and BBQ around April 1st every year (GOTF - Gathering of the Fools, thus the April 1st thing...)
When is it - Around April 1st, I'll defer to Mr. or Mrs. Glue for the exact dates
How to do I get to it - As the date gets closer either make reservations at a hotel near the event (South of Houston in Friendswood, most hotels are in Webster near I-45 and NASA Road 1). Or, if the camping thing is more your speed, Mr. Glue has facilities for those types out back as well...
Are you invited - I ain't met a motorcycle person yet who isn't invited. Of course, I'll once again hafta defer to Mr. and Mrs. Glue on the formalities, but if you're here, you're generally invited.

It's the one event come heaven or hell, we get to it some how... 2012 will be our 12th one to attend... Hopefully we're able to bring the three newest members of our family as well, but no matter what I have every intention of myself being there for it!

Few random pics from GOTF 2011:

(I even managed to drag my parents out last year!)

Camping area

The dessert table!

I call this one "Lost in her thoughts..."

With it's sister picture... I call this one "Busted!"

Sometimes you get to supervise a Valk owner who decides a middle of a party with lots of great food and VERY well marinated chefs would be the PERFECT time to rebuild the rear of his motorcycle...

Who knows, the occasional cage shows up too...

But no matter how many show, Mark seems to always have a smoker big enough to handle the crowd...

They come from all over too!
