I had these on my GL1100. Look good and the sound is OK.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I got 2"ers from cycle sounds. I like'm but wish they were bigger. Make sure you get a handle bar mounted vol control. Alot better then finding your player to turn it down.

J&M makes a set with the amp built into the speaker housing, and volume control on the case of that speaker as well.  Not cheap, but I found a set never used on the eBay for less than MSRP.

If you don't have a LARGE windshield or a full fairing, they'll suck at highway speeds.  That was my experience with the RumbleRoads.  I got the unamplified set and paired them with a 100 watt amp.  They sounded nice until I reached 65 mph.  I have the Hondaline windsheild and the top edge of the sheild is about level with my chin.  I had the speakers mounted on the inside of the upright part of my mini ape handlebars and aimed them up towards my face.  The sound was terrific around town and backroads, but sucked on the superslab.  I found a good set of earbuds to be a much better choice for me.

I have these on my Valk and like them.  Compared to Rumble Roads and some others, the price was very reasonable.  I've had them on there for about 5 years or so now, originally hooked up to a XM Roady, and now my Ipod.

I have had the Uniq Cycles system for about 5 years now; it's an excellent system with a 150 watt amp,mp3 input and good looking and good sounding speakers.

No problem hearing it at highway speeds, I heartily recommend it.
