So your bike has how many cylinders?

Universal City, TX

« on: August 23, 2011, 06:18:00 AM »

I'm planning a ride out to Garner State Park from the greater San Antonioo Area (I'm up near Randolph AFB) on Saturday, 10 Sep.  I plan on leaving early, 0630 to beat some of the heat.  uglystupid2 The sun should be up as we are getting out of the city limits so we can enjoy the views.   Cool At this point, just plan on riding out, hiking the trails some, seeing what there is to see and then head back.  Either do lunch in Medina, TX at The Apple Store or hit Tarpley, TX for some goat burgers.  Both outstanding Mom & Pop restaurants.  cooldude Breakfast will just be something on the road or even just granola/cereal bars at Garner.  More specifics to follow, but if you are interested, just mark your calendars now.

Hey All,

As promised, here is my planned route.  More concrete going there than the return trip.  I'm rolling out of the SHELL at 0645 the latest.  I'd like to beat the heat for the most part to prevent the sun from cooking what's left of my hair and brains. uglystupid2  I look forward to meeting other Valk riders. See you Saturday! cooldude

1.    Meet at SHELL GAS STATION on the corner of Natural Bridge Caverns Rd (FM 3009) and Nacogdoches Rd (FM 2252), NE side of town.
2.   Head North/West on FM 3009 to TX 46
3.   West on TX 46 to BANDERA, TX (possible gas up, food)
4.   Take Ranch Rd 337 West to LEAKEY, TX (possible gas up, food)
5.   Take US 83 South to Garner State Park and enjoy what the park has to offer.

Hey Guys,

I have to postpone this trip by a week or two.  Went out to the garage this morning and the Valk had a flat.  I wanted to put new skins on anyways, so now I have a "real" reason.  Sorry bout that.
