It gives me that "MuHaHa" laugh. (http://www.toothycat.net/wiki/wiki.pl?MuHaHa) after I use it.  Evil

I wish I had it installed when I passed this bus with all the people illegally crossing to get to the liquor store

Good ones, see it all the time here in the home of Mickey Rat and Fleece World....Florida. One thing I noticed in the second video, about 30 sec. into it you took a right turn on red....without stopping. That will get you a nifty little donation to the local constabulary here in the Orlando metro area...or just about anywhere in Fla., especially if they have the red light cameras installed.

And in the third video before the bus pedestrians crossed in front of you, you could have easily stopped at the yellow light, such that it was probably red before you cleared the intersection, AND just before that light you illegally changed into the left lane, crossing the solid white line.  The jaywalking pedestrians should never have been an issue.

Yea not here to flame, I like criticism, I record every minute of my rides, wish I had someone to go over every minute, I am not as good at self criticism Roll Eyes but I try.

I just love the gadgets and the air horn is just the latest.
I have had the horns for years, just a dual setup that had, with some not so great external compressor that took forever to spin up to toot.

So I mounted them on the bike and added a real compressor / air tank / electric activated valve to it. I can add a "on board air" system to fill up tires but I just don't see the point for myself.

So it goes air compressor (super small) pumps up a tank and a pressure switch turn it off when it gets to about 40psi. it is teed out to a 12v air valve that is activated by the horn circuit that releases the air to the dual horns. later I will add a switch to select original horn (for my group rides) or Motivator for everything else.

Well GR, I also thought it was illegal to cross a solid white line, but recently learned in Texas that it is not.....UNLESS there is a sign stating "do not cross solid white line" or "do not cross double white line", you may cross it.

I tried to use that excuse for not turning left in a left turn only lane under a freeway (strange intersection).  I got stuck in the left turn only lane, tried to get over to the right, but there was a solid white line.  So I stayed in that lane, made sure it was safe to continue straight (the lane to my right was a straight only lane) and did so.

I was pulled over by a sort of road block and they were ticketing all vehicles that did not turn left from that lane.

That is not the way I was taught, but thought going straight rather than crossing that huge white line was the lesser of 2 evils.
I guess not.

OneEye, a few years back I had a Wing I mounted some similar horns on. I was poking around in a marine shop in Daytona one day and saw these nasty looking things and asked about them. The short one was 17", the other 19", came off a boat. Paid $50 for them plus an extra $10 for a second compressor. I mounted a trumpet under each saddlebag and a compressor for each one inside the bag. Those suckers would blow your eardrums out at 50 paces, my wife hated them...I loved them. Like yours....mine would not/could not be ignored.

"FloridaValkRyder" 50cal... hummmm didn't think about that.. will have to do some drawings..... 2funny

I do find that my horn button is allot more functional these days.... Grin
I have a short 5 mi commute but its almost all through lower down town Minneapolis, there are ample opportunities to use the motivator...
and the neighbor"HOOD" (north Minneapolis) I live in definitely has a lot more testosterone in it then other areas around, so the motivator takes a little air out of them. Ill probably get shot at one of these days  Shocked

"John Schmidt" I don't use the compressor straight to the horn.. too slow in my opinion. I release already compressed air to them instead...
They defiantly are not ignored, I have seen the whites of there eyes get really big and take notice.

"HayHauler" that intersection is new, and Minneapolis can't figure out how to mark a lot of there streets, one street I ride on they have gone two lane to one-lane+bike and back twice now (what a waste of money)
I ride as I feel safe, I am lucky to have never been stopped for an infraction.. but that does not excuse my lack of diligence in following road marking. My commute has probability become a little too predictable and I have started to take lights and predict road conditions a little too much. I think I will try some side streets to liven things up.

If you want to see a vid of the horn setup look on my youtube vid http://www.youtube.com/user/oldoneeyekuhne

If you are letting that horn go in north mpls. You are a brave man or a fool. I stay away from that area for good reason. I half grew up in south mpls. and stay away from some areas there also. Things have changed and not for the better.  Sad Good luck and i would wear armor plate for safety gear.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Investigators are searching for suspects in a shooting Tuesday night on the north side of Minneapolis that left a woman critically injured.

It happened during a peace vigil at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Lyndale Avenue North just after 9 p.m.

An officer was in the vacinity, heard the shots and responded, then found the victim on the ground with at least one gunshot wound to the body.

At the time of the shooting between 20 and 30 people were gathered to speak out against recent violence that has plagued the neighborhood. On Saturday a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed on the 1700 block of Morgan Avenue North.

Minneapolis Police spokesman Sergeant Steve McCarty says there has been a rash of violence on the near north side over the past few weeks.

The woman was transported to North Memorial Medical Center. At this time no suspects are in custody.

Every day it's someone getting shot in murderapolis. Be careful on the north side.

Looked like he was simultaneously starting his lane change and heading over the dashed lines.

but I am the guy who walks through crowds and they part for me. back in the late 90's I used to have a following at Comdex in Las Vegas that would follow me to avoid the crowed floor, in N mpls I think I am aiming at the most risky type (pants around the knees and can't speeks English without a lisp)  Shocked did I just type that out loud.   Shocked
Well I live in Dave Ramsey dream in Minneapolis, I walk the walk and trying the talk, but its a tuff job. day at a time, this is year two and hopeing to live to year three.

well that's it for today
Its been a long day, living the Obama dream of change, just got laid off today so here I go to the dole........

MINNEAPOLIS -- Police say two boys riding bikes were shot in north Minneapolis Wednesday night, and one did not survive.

Officers responded to a shooting about 9 p.m. in the area of 16th Avenue and Upton Avenue North and found a 12-year-old boy who had been shot in the back. Before he was taken to North Memorial Medical Center, the young victim told police his friend also may have been shot.

Officers, a blood hound and Minnesota State Patrol helicopter searched the area and found a second boy that had been shot in the 1600 block of Russell Avenue North. The juvenile victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the two boys appear to have been simply riding their bikes through the neighborhood when gunfire erupted. Injuries to the first boy are not believed to be life-threatening.

Wednesday night's fatal shooting was just the latest incident of violence on the city's near north side in recent days. On Tuesday night a woman was shot and critically wounded while taking part in a peace vigil at the intersection of West Broadway and Lyndale. Police are becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation.

"We really need the public's help, we need people to step up and tell us what's going on here and why we are seeing a rash of shooting back and forth," said Inspector Mike Martin. "To help us identify the people involved so we can get the guns off the streets, and we are asking parents to not let your kids out here at night...on the street, know where your kids are."

Currently there are no suspects in custody. Its never ending in that part of town. Like the sargent in hill street blues would say Hey,Hay,Hey...... lets be careful out there.
