Been looking at this one: Firstgear BMW-Style Socket with Cover
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/461/10938/ITEM/Firstgear-BMW-Style-Socket-with-Cover.aspx?SiteID=SLI|12%20Volt%20Adapter&WT.MC_ID=10010
Anyone have any experience with this one? Other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If youv'e got an Interstate, put it on the left side pod.  If you have a tourer/standard there is one in JC Whitney that comes with a plate.  Like this.  Hoser

I have one mounted to the inside of my riser on the rightside under the handlebar clamp. Works good as a lighter, charger for cell phone or GPS.

I have two on my I/S,...one on either speaker grill piece. They came from a Marine Supply company and they are waterproof and very inexpensive (>$5.00 apiece).

I wouldn't go with a BMW style socket.  Everything you plugged in would have to have the BMW style plug or you would have to use an adapter.

That one from JC Whitney is exactly what I want. Hope they still carry it. Can't find it on the website. Guess I'll let my fingers do the walking!
